    The goal of this Masters’s thesis was to create an automated Estonian crossword solver. Similar programs have been created to solve English crosswords, but a solution based on the Estonian language is not yet known. As a result, a program was created where you can upload a picture of the crossword and which offers possible solutions to the questions in the crossword. The solution is based on data collected from Estonian Wordnet, pretrained Word2Vec model and Wikipedia. The thesis describes the methods used to identify the crossword grid and clues from the image, the data collection methodology, matching the words to the grid, the created web application and results.
