This thesis focuses on the hardware and software development of a battery testing system capable of concurrently testing eight single cell Li-ion or Li-Po rechargeable batteries while providing overvoltage, undervoltage and temperature protection. The battery testing system can log test measurements onto an SD card, which provides a computer independent backup. The battery testing system is computer controllable: the software allows changing various parameters, creating customized test scenarios and shows live plots during tests. When a test ends a conclusive plot will be shown. The system’s supported observable battery parameters are voltage, current, temperature and the amount of electric charge/discharge.en
