In the modern world, сomputational thinking is an important skill, including theoretical knowledge and associated practical skills that enable solving complex problems, analyzing data, and creating innovative solutions. One way to teach this to children is through the Bebras challenge. This paper provides an overview of computational thinking and the Bebras challenge contest. Additionally, statistical tests were used to analyze the results of the first round of the 2022 first round benjamin category to examine the impact of background variables on primary school students' competition performance. Similar studies from other countries were also reviewed. The results of this study contribute to improving understanding of how to teach computational thinking more effectively to children.
