The use of phrasal verbs among the estonian EFL learners of the University of Tartu

Abstract

As phrasal verbs are one of the most difficult topics of English grammar and many errors are made while using these verbs, one has to pay attention to the problem and the results of this thesis. This study endeavors to investigate the main causes of the avoidance or incorrect use of phrasal verbs among the Estonian learners of English studying at the University of Tartu. The first part includes the theoretical background of the use of phrasal verbs and defines the important terms for the thesis.
